Best First Novel Agatha Nominees
What a thrill to be nominated for a Best First Novel Agatha! It has been wonderful getting to know my fellow nominees. What a great group!
We did a blog tour this spring, and we had a blast. Every stop asked a different question, so it is worth visiting them all:
Malice, Agathas, the Globe, Oh My!
What a week this is! Today, I was in the Boston Globe, along with the other Wicked Cozy Authors. We are so grateful for the opportunity–we had a blast at the photo shoot, and love the piece.
This weekend is Malice Domestic, one of my favorite conferences. I am beyond thrilled (over the moon) that Just Killing Time is an Agatha nominee for Best First Novel.
I will not soon forget this wonderful week.
Left Coast Crime
I am thrilled that I will be at Left Coast Crime this weekend, and not just because I want to escape the snow. Though there is that. Here’s what I am looking forward to!
I am on a panel, Saturday at 11am. Main Street Murder: Mysteries set along Main Street U.S.A. Jenn McKinlay will be moderating, and I will be paneling with Kate Carlisle, Cheryl Hollon, and Jennifer McAndrews.
I will be at the New Author Breakfast Friday morning.
The wonderful Catriona McPherson is the toastmaster. I can’t wait to see her, and several other SinC board members like Lefty nominees Gigi Pandian and Diane Vallere, Leslie Budewitz, and Susan Shea.
I will be meeting three out of the four other Best First Novel Agatha nominees for lunch. How much fun is that?
I am 15 years into this mystery writing journey, and I know so many other writers. It is always a real treat to see friends, and to catch up.
Last but not least, my Wicked Cozy sistah Sherry Harris will be there as well. I think this may be a bit of Lucy and Ethel go to Phoenix. Stay tuned for updates.
Just Killing Time–Nominated for a Agatha!
JUST KILLING TIME was nominated for an Agatha award for “Best First Novel”. I cannot tell you how thrilling that is! When I went to my first Malice Domestic conference 15 years ago, getting published was a dream I was still hesitant to say aloud. The awards will be announced on April 30. Until then, I will float.
